Wow, I think this is what I am looking for. The RTM function would seem to fit the bill. Does RTM cause solo to land once it gets to the new home location? Also, can I still fly in GPS "Fly" mode, watching the live video stream (thru tower or solo app) with this function enabled?

I frequently fly manually into gps denied areas and I got to wondering..... What happens to RTH position if you lose gps while in the air and then reacquire? Is RTH reset or does solo remember the initial takeoff fix?

In a field/park with neighborhoods surrounding. Direction of flight was over a forest. Guess I should try something more rural.

When running stock antennas or FPVLR antenna I don't seem to get signal better than -20dB even when standing right next to solo. After taking off and even around 100 feet away I am in the -50dB range. At 1500 whether with the FPVLR or stock antennas I get jittery video and -70dB. Haven't tried...

I have hand launched and hand recovered solo multiple times to start practicing for boat ops. If you are going to do it one-person you need to be darn sure you have a good gps lock. Much safer to put it in manual and use two people.
