sorry I missed the poll.. But i'm still definitely interested. Will this solution allow other camera's to be used? I'm personally not too worried about smart shots with another camera, but I know that's been some people's reservations.

Their drone division is still working, maybe in limited capacity. Look at the enterprise solutions the site scan drone and the use of the sony camera

I was gonna suggest a 3d printed plate cold probably be made. I don't know much about any of this, but am always looking to learn. Even without smart shots, it opens up a bunch of different cameras, especially at $75 for a gimbal instead of the outrageous $2-300 some people are asking for...

I"m a complete noob to some of this, but it seems like a great idea if I'm understanding it correctly. This would be a plug and play solution to attach a 3rd party gimbal to the solo and still have full functions (pan/tilt/smartshots)?

I don't think it'd be a hardware design change, as much as it would be letting developers access the software to allow the solo app (or sole app) to access the camera controls...but i'm just guessing.

ya, but there is also a harness adapter from go pro. (Gp 6 to 4 for the Karma gimbal) Just curious if it'd work. It's my understanding the Bus connector controls the camera functions, but the HDMI handle the video. I assume the GP 6 is all integrated through the HDMI, since that's how the...

i was afraid it was gonna crash the way the battery was draining... got to 10% quick... but i was able to land without crashing. So by warming up, you mean just connected, but not motors running

so, my first flight in cold weather....it was 8 degree's here in Arkansas. Battery's went from 85% to 15% in less than 5 minutes. RTH, and cycled through modes just after takeoff. I managed about 10 minutes of video from two batteries
