    New Update - First Crash

I would consider that to be highly unlikely. There has never been a requirement with Solo to run calibrations at any time other than when Solo itself asks for them. No harm in doing them of course, but no need either...

    Controller won't charge

A few of us had dead chargers in the first batch of Solo's, perhaps there are still a few getting through. If you have a volt meter handy check the voltage your charger is providing, in my case it was around 3V or so and very unstable. Also with the charger plugged into the controller you...

    New Update - First Crash

The logs will allow 3DR to see what happened so hopefully you've already sent those in? How do you orient your antenna on the controller? Directly overhead is always a bad place to be, but the antenna orientation can make that a lot worse if it is sub-optimal.

Just What is the Real Issue with the Solo GPS?

If Solo loses GPS then it will switch to 'Fly:Manual' mode automatically. You can also assign 'Fly:Manual' to button A or B if you wish, or indeed any on the other flight modes like Stabilize for example.

Just What is the Real Issue with the Solo GPS?

Don't depend on the satellite count alone to mean very much as you are seeing a count of the satellites that can be seen, not the ones that are actually usable... For those who see long times acquiring a lock every time they change a pack, I wonder if the little battery on the GPS board is...

Auto return home crashed my Solo

I do understand what you are asking for and why you are doing it, but for every crash that would be avoided by your change there are a bunch of others that might be caused by the change. I am sympathetic to what happened on your flight, but you have to accept that the problems all result from...

New iOS Solo App available on Apple App Store...

PAL users take care, changing resolution seems to be reverting the NTSC mode...

New iOS Solo App available on Apple App Store...

The blinking yellow light is the gimbal updating ... When you go through the firmware update process it is important to wait until the gimbal light stops blinking before you power off the Solo. If you power down while the light is still blinking, in theory it will attempt to update the gimbal...

Letting the Solo fly down into a canyon 300 feet wide, 300 feet deep

Going below your starting altitude is not a problem, Solo will climb correctly above the start altitude, not the altitude it is currently at as long as it still has GPS lock of course... The GPS would be my main concern, the deeper down you fly the more you limit the available sky for...

    New solo app update

GP4B should not be powering on when Solo starts, only GP3+B. As you say, just like always, the red light will come on to show it is charging, but that is all.

    New solo app update

It is currently only working for the GPH3+B, they are having problems do it with the 4 apparently.

Questions on a solo that was replaced by 3DR under warranty.

They have been using refurbished Solo's for some returns for a while now and it sounds like that is what you received here. Doesn't seem to be up to a reasonable standard though if you have loose screws right out of the box ...

    Firmware 1.3.0 is out

iOS app 1.3.0 is in the approval queue at Apple apparently, no news on the Android version. Apple approval can take a few days though so don't get too excited :)

Auto return home crashed my Solo

That does look like a good change, but it wouldn't have made any difference to the accident being reported here as the OP was not trying to land at the 'home' location. I have a lot of sympathy for the OP as a few moments more and there would have been no story to tell, but the actual series of...
