Mmm... it kind of sounds like they lost their deal with DJI. I mean it's the Yuneec drone top to bottom with 3DR software. They had a similar deal with DJI until recently.

There are plenty of mods for a Mavic. The difference is that you don't need to do them. There are quite a few channels of guys HEAVILY modding Mavics. From software to hardware.
