Rob: thanks for leading on this, much appreciated. If I could, what is the model number on that servo? I am beginning to experiment with them for my Sony. Jim

How are your batteries holding up?

I have the madhacker tester. Questions on the readings: 1. on screen 4, what does the "Status" reading number indicate? # dec? 192 dec seems to be a common reading but one of my bad batteries has a 16608 reading and I have no clue what this is telling me. 2. on screen 5, the Lowest V Record...

Servo Wiring Options for a New Sony Camera Gimbal

unfortunately, the seller of that mini breakout board seems to be out of business. Mini Breakout Board for 3DR SOLO https://www.facebook.com/1123974891058822/posts/are-you-tired-of-having-to-slice-your-3dr-solo-gimbal-cable-to-add-a-third-party/1522847681171539/ I contacted a custom cable...

3DR Solo - From Ordinary to DIY Photo Drone

Servo Wiring Options for a New Sony Camera Gimbal

I am in the process of designing a simple 1-axis (tilt) gimbal for a Sony mirrorless camera for use on my Solos. Will use a yet-to-be-selected servo to tilt the camera on the gimbal. Am curious about wiring options for such a tilt servo. Must I tap into the mainboard or can I use the existing...

thanks, I will give that a try and report back. You indicated in your gimbal description that you had the option of powering your camera gimbal either off the mainboard or from the gimbal cable. If you choose to tap into the gimbal cable, which pin/wire would you use? The gimbal cable...

3DR Solo - From Ordinary to DIY Photo Drone

Question on Gimbal Wiring Options: I am only interested in enabling a new Tilt servo (my shutter is already taken care of) on a yet-to-be-built Sony camera tilt mount/1- axis gimbal. @makatanav indicates that a New TILT servo needs to be soldered to the Solo mainboard on Pin14 IO-CH6/PWM6 to...

Sony Mirrorless Gimbal for SOLO Build Project

Thanks, please do test and let me know what you conclude. It may make sense to stick with the 16mm prime pancake lens with the gimbal and leave the zoom for a fixed mount. I rarely use the zoom on the 16-50 lens anyway and shoot at 16mm most of the time with the Sony. The pancake lens is...
