AR Drone has what they call "absolute control" where the drone is maneuvered based on user orientation regardless of the orientation of the drone, is there a feature similar to this for the Solo?

not a big deal it just tripped me up at first, I didn't think it had anything to do with not having a camera but without the camera I didn't see any reason to use the "fly" view when the controller had most of the info I needed. It just took a little while to narrow down the issue.

Mine cares, only returns to the landing position if my phone is connected and on the "fly" screen.

It uses the iPhone gps to return to "take off" location? That seems odd, still doesn't explain how it couldn't get that information since the phone was connected just wasn't on the "fly" screen in app.

The phone was connected, I just didn't leave the "home" screen... I'll have to fly again to verify but so far RTH only works when I go the the "fly solo" view in the app.

I got it working, user error although I'm not sure why it requires this... I was using the solo without a camera, even though I had my phone there I wasn't using the "fly solo" screen and instead relied only on the controller, its now working when I go to the "fly solo" screen on my device even...

I think I figured out what we are doing wrong, without the camera you still need to go to the "fly solo" screen on your phone/tablet, even without a camera or video feed RTH now works for me.

When you press RTH, does it "return home" display on the controller as it comes back, do the drone flights slowly rotate flashing?

I've tried 15' 30' 45' with the drone very close by and out about 50 yards away. I do have a "close to heliport" warning, does this disable the feature?

There's a thread in the help forum where a few other people and myself are having the same issue with the RTH feature. I just bought my solo and after spending an hour with support chat with no luck have now exchanged the drone just to encounter the same issue... I've tried a few different...

I'm not sure what to tell you, I exchanged mine today and still have the same issue with the new one. Is anyone else experiencing this? Could it be a problem with a recent update?

After an hour with chat support going through a factory reset and trying my iPad instead of my phone I still have the same issue, they said to ho exchange it
