Wifi only will work but you can get data as well by sharing data over bluetooth from your phone. That's how I do it anyway. I use a Shield but have tried it on a Samsung 10" tablet also.

One other thing to note when trying to adjust the sliders for vehicle settings: Make sure the 'HIGH TRAFFIC' message is not displayed anymore on the screen. I can't remember if you can even access the sliders before it goes away, but just a thought.

Personally I think functionality of Solex should be kept more streamlined and along the lines of accomplishing what we are doing in the air. No need to bloat it. Mission planner already does this.

Been building and flying quads over the last three to four years and finally bit the bullet for the Solo. Still awaiting shipment but super excited !! Looking forward to sharing in this community. Tony
