I've been on channel 20 on the P3 since the second day out of the box... just figured it's less congested up there.

I haven't been able to test all out range because of wind right now... but I get a very good idea looking at the RSSI numbers in the telemetry at different known points where I fly... much stronger out at 5000ft distance than before... and in close at 3000ft range I could drop down much lower in...

Leftover antennas from modding my P3 controller mounted to the legs of the Solo... front and back...

Product promotion like that is a double edged sword... you need to be where people will see it... but flying around people is sketchy when things aren't working properly. And where there are people... there are buildings ... cars ... electrical ... underground piping/sewer/drainage utilities...

That video ... it was the pilot ... the drone was facing her and she pushed the stick the wrong way... I bet my lunch on that. The tone of her voice as she answered to "what happened?" She was covering ... she knows it was her own fault.

Mine is the 10.5 size... but yeah ... same tablet... And no... Solo doesn't use Wi-Fi from the bird to the controller... just from the phone to controller... common misconception... glad that dude got a good laugh tho :confused: 1st post and already having a good time here.

Smoother... Lightbridge has a stronger connection and will give longer distances... but many folks are having troubles with device handling the stream and presenting it smoothly... so there are many threads about which device to use and tips and tricks to make the device handle the app better...

I've got both... and both have their strong points. Major points? Phantom 3... battery life/flight time Solo... unbeatable FPV video stream... absolutely flawless

Bandwidth... The Solo is using wifi... considerably less bandwidth and I think their on board module has less power than the P3. P3 is using 2.4gHz digital video transmission... with a powerful transmitter on board the bird... and 4 antennas in the legs.

Yeah that was getting to be more info than I wanted to give out... it was first come first served tho... I was in on this before the preorders went up.

Oh fudge nuggets... :mad: One of the things I was looking forward to is gone.

Did you get any hits on your sale bird yet.. I'm interested... would like to see picture proof of new in box.
